Animal Control

Cache Animal Control enforces City codes and ordinances related to animals within the City limits. The department assists all City departments with any animal issues that may arise. Complaints about animals are taken through the Comanche County E-911 Center.

The department utilizes every method available to control animal populations within the city and place animals that are in need of good homes in appropriate places. The department also works with other agencies and non-profit organizations on foster, adoption programs and assistance for abused animals.

Cache Public Works Authority (CPWA)

Cache Public Works Authority maintains the City’s water and wastewater facilities. The department provides proper maintenance of water storage facilities and all wastewater issues. The department has the responsibility of environmental compliance, safety, and providing safe, sanitary methods of providing water and disposing of wastewater. The department is responsible for maintaining all water meter readings and billing customers for their usage. The department provides easy bill payment at City Hall. The utility department is responsive and dedicated to meeting customer expectations for quality, safety, reliability and environmental responsibility.

Police Department

The Police Department is a valuable community resource. It protects and serves the community from criminal activity by enforcing city, state and federal laws. The department keeps the peace, apprehends criminals and helps prepare cases for prosecution.

Fire Department

The Cache Fire Department, another valuable resource, aids our residents in times of emergency. They respond in a variety of situations beyond just fire such as automobile accidents and medical emergencies.

Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement’s mission is to enhance the level of public safety and city aesthetics through the enforcement of city codes and ordinances which relate to housing, zoning, signs, grass and weeds, etc. Currently the City operates under the International Building Code, Fire Code, Plumbing Code and Residential Code along with the National Electric Code. In addition, this office is responsible for the issuance of all required permits and the scheduling of inspections.

The Streets Division is responsible for the maintenance of the streets, traffic signs, and drainage systems throughout the City of Cache.  The Streets Division’s inventory of traffic signs includes street name signs, and regulatory signs such as stop, speed limit, and no parking signs. Maintaining and improving city roadways is a major community priority and several road repair projects are generally underway throughout the City. Public drainage maintenance includes inspection and cleaning of all city canals, channels, ditches, storm drains, catch basins, curbs, and gutters.
