BUILDING INSPECTIONS & PERMITTING

The Building Division provides permitting services and building inspections for construction activities within the City of Cache. The Building Division issues permits, and reviews plans for all residential and commercial construction projects. Please visit the City Hall to acquire your permit. *Depending on type of permit, it may take up to 48 hours to review application and plans before permit is issued.*

Before beginning any work, it is always best to check with the Building Division to see if a permit is required for the project you have in mind. All contractors, journeymen and apprentices must be licensed registered by the State of Oklahoma and must be licensed with the City of Cache before working within in the City.

CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT

Code enforcement ensures that the public observes city codes and ordinances. The main goal of code enforcement is to bring to the attention of residential and business owners any existing code violation that could have a negative impact on their property, neighborhood and the community. Compliance can reduce vandalism, deter crime, maintain property values, and prevent deterioration of our neighborhoods.

Common Code Violations

  • Accumulation of trash and debris
  • High grass and weeds
  • Improper parking of trailers
  • Junk or inoperable vehicles
  • Open storage of inoperable refrigerators and appliances
  • Sight obstructions

PLANNING & ZONING

The Planning & Zoning Division performs a variety of services intended to protect, maintain, and develop an attractive, safe, and healthy environment. Primary functions address property development and land use activities occurring in the City.

Zoning regulates land uses within the City. Each parcel in the City is assigned to a zone which describes the regulations under which that land may be used. The Land Development Code identifies allowable uses and sets standards such as minimum lot size, maximum building heights, and set-back requirements.

Zoning regulations are enforced through Code Enforcement and the Building Division and with aid from the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment.

CACHE ECONOMIC & DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (CEDA)

The Cache Economic Development Authority (CEDA) provides a concerted effort of policymakers and community to promote the standard of living and economic health.  Their purpose is to promote and stimulate economic growth and development for the City of Cache.  Regular Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of every month at 9:30am at the City Hall Chamber 404 West C Ave.
