The Cache City Clerk’s Office serves as a partner in democracy and is committed to quality customer service, innovation, easy access to public records, comprehensive use of resources, and records management by:
- Working together to ensure the City Council, Mayor, and city staff serve the community with openness and integrity
- Providing professional and courteous customer service
- Ensuring the legislative process including the City Council, authority, and committee meetings are open and public

The city clerk maintains all official city papers, records, public documents, minutes, and files of the City Council, boards, trusts and commissions; and publishes ordinances, notices, agendas, and other public documents.
The city clerk keeps the minutes of council proceedings and with the mayor signs and attests all ordinances and resolutions and is the official custodian of the city seal.
Minutes of each City Council meeting are approved by the City Council at their next regularly scheduled meeting and will be posted thereafter.
The City of Cache Municipal and Zoning Codes are the codified version of all ordinances adopted by the Cache City Council and / or the voters of the City of Cache. It is the legal code of the City.
The city clerk also receives all lawsuits, protests, appeals, and bids; coordinates city elections with the Comanche County Election Board.
The city clerk also supervises the receptionist area of City Hall.
The receptionist area is manned by a full-time employee. This individual not only answer the incoming phone calls and direct citizens to the proper area of City Hall, they also have various other duties. Some of these duties include opening and calculating the daily utility payments received in the mail, helping with organization of files for different departments, and updating individual Code of Ordinance City code books.
The city clerk provides records management services to city departments and performs the statutory responsibilities of the city clerk including minute preparation of City Council meetings, updating the municipal code, conducting bid openings, serving as the local election official, and serving as the Freedom of Information Act officer for administrative departments.
The goal of the City of Cache Records Management is to ensure the maintenance of records that have continuing administrative and legal value and the retirement or proper disposal of those no longer in current use.
The city clerk is responsible for the procedures ensuring the disposal of records whose legal retention periods have expired and are no longer required as determined by the law.
